Kathleen started her career in fashion, working for the renowned British designer, Jenny Packham. Here she spent some years learning expert couture sewing techniques and insight into pattern drafting and draping, as well as the workings of a high-end fashion label. Kathleen has always been passionate about film and theatre and the next step for her was to study a Masters in costume design at the London College of Fashion, where she graduated with distinction. During her time on the course she was able to expand her knowledge of costume making and design by creating costumes for short films, theatre and music videos.

After graduating, Kathleen worked in the costume department for the latest Paul Thomas Anderson movie, ‘Phantom Thread,’ starring Daniel Day Lewis. Since this opportunity, she has carved a career for herself in film, television and theatre. She has worked as a costume maker for the Sky One series, ‘Bounty Hunters 2’, the blockbuster HBO series 'Watchmen', the Pathe Films production, 'Misbehaviour,' the Amazon Prime series 'Flack 2', the Netflix series 'Motherland 2' and many other films and television shows. Kathleen works as a costume designer for commercials and advertisement campaigns, including the SEGA Tokyo Olympic commercial and the Madame Tussauds 2020 Campaign. Kathleen has also fulfilled the role of Costume Designer and maker for many theatre productions such as ‘The Three Muskateers’ (Iris Theatre), ‘The Importance of Being Ernest’ and ‘Lorna Doone’ (Pleasure Dome Theatre Company) and 'The Crucible' (The Yard.) A large amount of her time is also spent on private client commissions, ranging from Bespoke Wedding Dresses to Drag costumes and Cabaret creations.

Based from her studios in North and Central London, Kathleen is available for freelance commissions as well as costume design and making roles for film, television, commercials and theatre. She is excited to now offer a bespoke embroidery service for the industry - please be in touch to find out more details.
